Ice Skating

A couple weeks ago we decided to try ice skating. We first hit up The Oven for some yummy pizza then on to a small outdoor ice skating rink. There was a birthday party going on so it was crowded and they didn't have many skates left. I think Cam's skates were at least 1 size too big but we gave it a try. Good thing Tom has his own skates. Myles and I were skate-less but we still got out on the ice. Here's a few pics from the day.

Cam was a little nervous but did pretty well for a first time. I wonder if he would do better if the skates actually fit?!
Myles enjoyed watching.
On another note, Myles is showing off his cleaning skills. He loves to go to this closet after dinner and other times during the day. He usually grabs either of these 2 items and walks around. It's pretty funny!
Cam and his buddy Andrik on a recent playdate.

And of course, a video of Cam skating.

1st attempt

So, I've been wanting to blog for a couple years now and felt intimidated plus lacking time. I want to be able to document things going on in our lives, especially for family that lives out of state. I make no promises as to how often I will keep this updated but I will try!
Myles has started giving kisses! They are the open-mouth kisses and he only wants to kiss me on my mouth (not the cheek) which isn't great for all the colds he has! But, it is super sweet and cute! He's also communicating quite a bit, mostly with signs but with some words (milk, more, bath, hi, bye, cracker). His receptive communication is amazing! He seems to understand everything I tell him. Oh, and he made his first attempt at blowing bubbles while at swimming class today. It's really very fun these days!
As for Cam, he's thriving at "pre-k". They are currently learning about modes of transportation and what signs mean. He talks about which girl he "married" at school. He actually seems to perseverate sometimes on who he is not going to marry which involves random women that we come across in our days. Cam is doing great at his swim lessons and will hopefully be an independent swimmer by summer. He will start soccer again this Spring which I will likely be coaching again.
Tom had a good birthday earlier this month. It was snowing that day which was probably only the second time this winter. Here are some pics from that day...
Well, I tried to add the photos and I remember my sisters telling me something about when to add them. So I'll figure out the format sometime. Also trying to add a video of Myles experiencing the snow for the first time, so we'll see if the video loads.

So I guess that's it for the first post. Hope it works!
